Two explosions occurring about ten minutes apart in Nyanya and Kuje in Abuja, the Capital of Nigeria have killed about twenty persons and injured scores. The explosions which may be due to Improvised Explosive Device took place about 10pm on Friday, the second of October 2015.
The injured were taken to Kuje General Hospital,  Asokoro District Hospital, National Hospital Abuja and the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital for treatment while the dead are being identified.
No group has claimed responsibility.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria President, Muhammad Buhari has ordered increased nation-wide surveillance.
