Fire razed the Peace Gate Warehouse situated on plot 40/42 Ilupeju Industrial Avenue, Ilupeju, Lagos at about 11am on Sunday. The inferno was said to have destroyed merchandise worth several millions of naira. It was discovered that thick smokes from the facility caused panic among residents of the area, who feared that the fire could spread to their structures. News men discovered that the warehouse served as a facility for organizations like Kenvee Nigeria Limited, Taana Limited, Pramansons Global Company Limited and Mashabros and Sons Limited, all of which reportedly lost goods to the inferno. In spite of the fact that the reason for the fire presently couldn’t seem to be ascertained as of the time of report, the Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Musibau Rasaki, who cautioned Lagosians to avoid heart-generated fire, said no casualty was recorded. He stated, “The fire call was received at 11am; the Bolade Fire Station arrived at 11:10am, while the Ilupeju and Alausa Fire Stations arrived at 11:15am. “No casualty was recorded however merchandise worth huge number of naira were lost to the inferno. The actual reason for the fire occurrence is still unknown.
