During the launching of Zentiva by the Sanofi Pharmaceuticals in Lagos, the chairman, Health and Managed Care Association of Nigeria, Dr. Kolawole Owoka appealed to the Federal Government to stop the importation of generic drugs and rather urged the authorities to adopt policies from developed countries on the production of drugs to ensure that only quality drugs are available in the country.
He also advises the Federal Government to emulate Australia in the area of drug production where only four companies are allowed to produce drugs to ensure drug security in the country.
