Dr. Abdullahi BaffavBichi, the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund ((TETFund), has donated the sum of N5 million to victims of Kurmi market fire and flood disasters. Dr. Bichi who is also the Director-General of One to Tell 10 Buhari Support Group, paid a sympathy visit to the victims, urging them to remain resolute and hopeful as President Muhammadu Buhari is very much concerned of their plights.
He said, “since we learned about the fire and flood disaster in this ancient market, we have been making contacts with other people on how to mobilize support and assistance to cushion the effects.”
Giving the breakdown of the donation, he said One 2 Tell 10 Buhari support group donated N2, while friends of the President Buhari government donated N3 million. He said the N3 million donated by the anonymous philanthropists is to be shared to sixty petty traders whose capital base does not exceed N50,000 while the N2 million donated by the political group is to be shared equally among the victims of fire and flooding in the market respectively.
Dr. Bichi also promised to mobilize further financial support and assistance to the victims. He promised to reconstruct the collapsed bridge in the market. The Director-General of One 2 Tell 10 group, urged the market traders to mobilize support for more votes to President Buhari in the 2019 elections.
