Studies have shown a high incidence of obesity among market men and women in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, South-west Nigeria.

Experts have called for increased awareness on obesity and it’s related health challenges in the community.
In a new study, experts’ assessment of obesity and hypertension amongst market men and women in Ijebu-Ode put the prevalence of hypertension, overweight and obesity at 16percent, 25.3percent and 26.7 percent respectively.
