During a one-day sensitization meeting on malnutrition for Nasarawa state policy makers, organized by the Civil Society Scaling-up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN), on the platform of Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health (PAC-FAH) in Lafia, the wife of the Governor of Nasarawa State, Hajiyat Salamatu Tanko Almakuru lamented over the high level of malnutrition in the state, with 37 per cent of Nigeria children under the age of five been stunted; the highest rate in sub-saharan Africa and second in the world.
