1. Women should avoid use of vaginal sprays and douches
Feminine hygiene sprays can irritate the urethra and possibly lead to a UTI. Avoiding these products will help prevent not only urinary tract infections, but also other infections and irritations that these products may cause.
Douching has been known for long to encourage the introduction of bacteria into the vagina and the urethra in women. If the douche used is scented, then the chemical used can also irritate the vagina and the urethra.
Avoid vaginal sprays and douching.
2. The liver manufactures cholesterol in the body.
Cholesterol is a fatty substance found in the cover of body cells, brain, nerves, liver, kidney, and egg yolk. It is not found in plant foods. There are two types of cholesterol: High Density Lipoproteins (HDL) and Low Density Lipoproteins (LDL); HDL is said to be the good cholesterol while LDL is the bad cholesterol.
It is manufactured in the body by the liver, about 85 percent of the total cholesterol required in the body while the balance 15percent is obtained directly from the animal food we eat (meat, poultry and dairy products).
3. A couple may not have the same Sexual appetite
A couple may not have the same sexual appetite, some men want to have sex everyday, a lot women do not because of official work and domestic chores which sap their energy.
Men prefer sex in the morning while women prefer the night.
Sometimes rejection creeps in, the man who is usually the attacker feels rejected when the wife says she is tired for sex often, a mid-way ; a comprise must be found.
As the couple gets older other sexual problems will arise but a good understanding and a visit to the doctor can always solve the problem.
4. Reduce Red meat/process meat intake
Red meat (beef, lamb and pork) and process meat (sausage, bacon, ham and salami) are said to be associated with higher rate of bowel cancer, minimize their consumption. As you age, eat more of fish, chicken, nuts, beans and soya-beans for your protein.
5. Ear Discharge could have complications
Possible complications include infection of the brain, infection of some bones in the head, deafness and poor development of speech/language.
The infection of the brain or some bones of the head could cause death and paralysis of the face respectively
6. Egg yolk could harm your heart
Eggs are rich in protein, fat and micronutrients. The egg has two parts; the white part and the yolk (yellow part). The yellow part called the yolk is very rich in cholesterol; in adults about two eggs a week will do but as we age this should reduce. Situation is worsened by frying the egg, as some cooking oils also contain cholesterol.
7. Sex Reduces Prostate Cancer Risk
Frequent ejaculations, especially in 20-something men, may reduce the risk of prostate cancer later in life, Australian researchers reported in the British Journal of Urology International. When they followed men diagnosed with prostate cancer and those without, they found no association of prostate cancer with the number of sexual partners as the men reached their 30s, 40s, and 50s.
But they found men who had five or more ejaculations weekly while in their 20s reduced their risk of getting prostate cancer later by a third.
Another study, reported in the Journal of the American Medical Association, found that frequent ejaculations, 21 or more a month, were linked to lower prostate cancer risk in older men, as well, compared with less frequent ejaculations of four to seven monthly.
