During the ministry’s ministerial briefing to commemorate Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s first year in office, the state Commissioner of Health, Dr. Jide Idris disclosed that the Lagos State Government has recorded a drop in its Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) prevalence rate from 5.1 in 2013 to 4.1 presently and that not less than 47,393 people living with the virus are actively receiving free Anti-Retroviral drugs in the State.
In a related development; Dr. Jide Idris said that the Lagos State Government will soon embark in the renovation of its primary, secondary health facilities in order to provide quality services and decongest the tertiary health facilities in the state.
