The Lagos State Government, Southwest Nigeria has commenced the shutting down of houses without toilets, this is meant to discourage open defecation, this action is combined with public enlightenment on the health implications of open defecation.
Open defecation is associated with cholera, polio, worm infestations among others.
This would force the landlords to have one for their tenants. It is horrific to have such scenes in a mega city like Lagos.
