The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration (NAFDAC) has warned Nigerians against consumption of Magic instant noodles produced by Nestle India whichis said to contain the chemical, LEAD.
The company has recalled its Maggi instant noodles from stores across India following report by the Indian Food Safety Regulators of probable LEAD contamination of the noodles.
LEAD poisoning causes about 143,000 deaths a year globally.
