Abigail, known as Abby, and her husband Adam were killed in the accident in Schoharie in upstate New York. The couple has two young daughters, four-year-old Archer and 16-month-old Elle. The girls’ sister Mary Dyson and her husband Robert leave behind a young son. Barbara Douglas, whose brother is the women’s father, confirmed four of her nieces were killed in the crash. “My brother, I think is broken, and I think my sister-in-law is broken,” Douglas told NBC News. “I don’t know how you say it. You can’t wrap you head around such a tragedy where you have four of your daughters die.” “They were very smart, and beautiful and they lived life to the fullest.” “I don’t know what to tell you, they were the best nieces that anybody could have. I can’t. I’m very nervous. I can’t talk.” A GoFundMe page has been set up to help support Adam and Abby’s two young children, left orphaned by the crash. A friend wrote: “Archer, 4 years old, Elle, 16 months, tragically lost their parents, Adam and Abby, on October 6th in a horrific car accident. Anthony Vertucci, Erin’s father, spoke of the ‘darkness and devastation’ that had hit his family and shared photos of his daughter’s wedding day in a heartbreaking tribute. He wrote: “My heart has stopped. Unspeakable tragedy that I can’t comprehend and will never come to terms with.” Police say the driver of the limo failed to stop at a junction and crashed into several pedestrians, killing two. Two of the 20 killed were pedestrians, officials said on Sunday. All those who died were adults. New York State Police said a 2001 Ford Excursion limousine failed to stop at the intersection of State Route 30 and State Route 30A around 1.55pm on Saturday. It traveled across the intersection and into the parking lot for the Apple Barrel County Store in Schoharie, where it hit an unoccupied parked 2015 Toyota Highlander. Alan Tavenner, the town supervisor of Schoharie, called the death toll “completely mind-boggling” in a town of 3,000.
