The National Association of Resident Doctors of Nigeria (NARD) has given the Federal Government a 21-day ultimatum to meet its demands or face a nationwide strike.
Speaking on this at the end of its extra-ordinary National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Abuja, on Monday, the NARD President, Dr. Muhammad Adamu Askira, said the doctors were poised for a nationwide strike as the association would fight the current injustice with all its capacity.
According to him, increasing cases of non-payment of salaries, poor infrastructure and administrative corruption remain the biggest challenge in the health sector.
