A new study published in Journal Science Advances has shown that the type of house one lives in could have a lot of influence on his health. This has been known for some time now because it is known that air-borne diseases are more common in poorly ventilated houses but this study looked at the type of germs depending on the type of house.
Rural houses with minimal room partitions had the indoor germs similar to the outdoor germs, while in the urban areas where the rooms are completely separated from one another by complete partitions, the germs in the rooms are different from those outside but similar to the ones on in our mouth, nostrils and on the skin.
What this means is that those living in fully partictioned houses like in the cities have less immunity to the germs outside and more likely to fall ill if infected by them.
