The 4th of February every year is celebrated world wide as World Cancer Day.
The World CANCER day lets us take into consideration the important roles we have to play as individuals and as a society in the fight against cancer. The celebrations help to raise awareness on the cases, signs and symptoms, available cures/treatments and prevention. Also; reassessment of measures being taken to fight the scourge.
Cancer is now officially the world’s greatest killer; according to WHO, about 80,000 Nigerians are killed by cancer annually.
In the UK, four cancer survivors stripped naked and shared their stories with the British Daily Mirror as a way of raising awareness and raising funds to fight cancer.
