A High Court in Jigawa State, North-West Nigeria has sentenced one 25-year-old Sanni Isa of Zerana Village in Beinin Kudu LGA to 15 years imprisonment for rape of a noine year old girl. Five witnesses testified against the accused and he also admitted committing the crime.
According the judge, Justice Ubali Ahmad Taura, the offence is contrary to section 282 (1) of the penal code.
