It appears Ebola virus is staging a come-back with the death of a sixteen year old girl in the north of the country; two deaths had been recorded recently with five others still in hospital receiving treatment
All 700 people in the village of the latest victim have been quarantined in an effort to limit its spread. Ten primary contacts of the victim are now on admission at an Ebola Treatment Centre.
It is presumed that the girl may have had sex with an Ebola survivor; traces of the virus are known to be semen of survivors for up to six months.
Only last month the last known Ebola case in Sierra Leone was discharged from hospital amid jubilation.
