The Acting Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Mr. Femi Akingbade, has reiterated the significant role of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in mobilising Nigerians to enrol for health insurance.
Akingbade who stated this during a courtesy visit to the Director General of NOA, Dr, Garba Abari at the agency’s head office in Abuja requested his cooperation for the renewal of an existing relationship between the two agencies towards building a joint platform for the effective delivery of their respective institutional public duties.

He acknowledged that the nation continued to look up to NHIS to make access to effective healthcare easy for the people through the provision of various platforms of entry into health insurance for the different classes of people.
He also noted the persistent need to keep providing information and education to potential enrolees, thereby assisting them to recognise the benefits of health insurance, so that they can make informed decisions in favour of enrolment.
Dr Abari expressed his readiness to collaborate with the NHIS to advance health care in the country while promising full deployment of the structure and resources of the agency in the process.
