A 26 year old man, Semiu Sanni, was stabbed to death on Sunday during the Ojude-Oba festival in Ogijo community in Sagamu Local Government Area of Ogun State; he made the love advance to the daughter of the traditional ruler of the community. The ruler frowned as the love advances and warned the man and his father to leave his daughter alone; this led to an altercation between both parties but this did not stop the celebration.
While the celebration was going on, a group of man said to belong to a rival cult group attached Semiu Sanni, the lover boy, stabbing him in the neck several times; he died before receiving treatment.
This caused pandemonium in the community with irate mob burning down house of the ruler, his two cars and other properties. He has now fled the town with his family.
