The Lagos state Government in collaboration with Rotary International And World Health Organization has begun another round of routine immunization in rural areas in the state.

According to the state Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, who spoke at the inauguration of the National immunization plus days in Ifako-Ijaye on Friday, about 4.5 million children between 0-59 months would receive free polio vaccine throughout the week.

Special Adviser on Primary Health care, Dr. Olufemi Onanuga who represented the State Governor said that they have mounted 752 fixed posts and that 2,189 vaccinators will go from house to house to carry out the immunization from 8am-2pm daily.
