While addressing Journalist on the just concluded immunization exercise, the permanent secretary of the state Ministry of Health, Abel  Gwatau said that not less than  700,000 children under the age of Five have been immunized against polio virus in the state. He also said that this vaccination against poliomyelitis in the state was a nationwide campaign directed by the Federal Ministry of Health.

He added that due to the sustained immunization, Nigeria has not recorded a case of polio in the last 17 months.
