The Association of Community Pharmacist of Nigeria (ACPN) has beseeched the Federal Government to close down all open drug markets in the country for the actualization of the revised National Drug Distribution Guideline (NDDG) during their 2016 Annual General Meeting in Lagos, South west Nigeria.
The ACPN Lagos State Chairman, Mrs. Biola Paul-Ozieh said that unrestricted access to drugs has contributed to the increase in drug abuse among teenagers in the country;  according to her, the threat of drug abuse has reached an alarming rate in Lagos state in particular and the country as a whole

Many Nigerian Youths regularly misuse cough mixtures containing Codeine, Analgesic and Tramadol because they can easily get them over the counter.
