The Oyo State Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Asociation, Dr. Muideen Olatunji has called on the Federal Government and other stakeholders to intervenein the ongoing strike embarked by doctors in Osun State over the non-payment of salaries and arrears by the State Government.

He made this call while addressing a press conference in Ibadan titled ‘Halt This Genocide ‘.

He also appealled to the state government to pay up the entitlement as the effect of the strike, may lead to increase in quackery, maternal mortality and other forms of mortality across the state.
Doctors in Government employment in Osun State, South west Nigeria, have been on strike for weeks.
