A new study has revealed link between Zika virus and Guillain-Barre, a neurological syndrome.Researchers in French Polynesia and Europe have found out that 98 percent of the Guillain-Barre patients had anti-bodies related to Zika virus and 88 percent of patient had experienced typical symptoms of Zika virus infection usually about a week before developing Guillain-Barre.

According to a report by WHO on Friday, eight countries have experienced increases in Guillain-Barre since 2015 especially in Puerto Rico and Venezuela where evidence of Zika infection has been seen in Guillain-Barre cases.
