A father, Bamekpa, is now cooling his heels in police cell in Yenogoa, Bayelsa state, South south Nigeria for impregnating his daughter and also forcing her to abort the pregnancy illegally. The daughter, Queen, just 12 years old says the father has been sleeping with her since she was 11 years of age and became pregnant recently. She informed her step mother of the pregnancy who in turn informed the father who took her to an unqualified woman for the abortion; she is now in hospital for complications of the operation.
