While addressing reporters in Awka, Anambra State, South east Nigeria on the on-going second round of National Immunization Plus Day in the Country, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joe Akabuike, said that government will sanction any hospital found collecting money for immunization, this is based on the report that some private hospitals are collecting money for immunizing children in their areas.

According to the commissioner, the exercise was a strategy to deliver oral polio vaccine together with other vaccines to help reduce the burden of preventable diseases apart from sustaining the eradication of polio in the state.
