Consequently, the District Health Department has began a free mass vaccination exercise against Hepatitis B virus that appears to be fast spreading in the Northern region.

The District Health Officer, Mr. Robert Ongom said that the district received its first batch of Hepatitis B vaccine to kick-start the vaccination exercise on children under the age of 14 at designated areas
