Tanzania Health Minister warns against spate of attacks on health workers.
The Minister for Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, Mtwara region, Tanzania, Ms Ummy Mwalimu has condemned attacks on Health workers at their duty stations, adding that Government would not tolerate patients and their relatives who harass medical staff.
Ms Mwalimu has called on members of the public to adhere to correct procedures of accessing treatments when visiting health facilities.
Speaking in Mtwara region, Ms Mwalimu has asked the Heads of Health facilities across the country to establish complaint desks for people seeking Healthcare so that they could voice their grievances through right channels instead of beating up doctors.
