1.Noise Reduces Performance/efficiency
Noise reduces concentration, brilliance, and efficiency. Students whose schools are located near airports have been found not perform as well as those whose schools are located in more quiet areas.
Very loud noise can cause loss of memory.

2.Maternal deaths are more common in teenage girls.
Studies have shown that girls aged 15-19 years are twice as likely to die from childbirth as are women in their twenties.
Also, girls aged less than 15 years are five (5) times more likely to die from child birth than women in their twenties.
This may be due to the following reasons: teenage girls are not physically and psychologically ready for pregnancy, poor knowledge on ante–natal or lack of knowledge, poverty, neglect by family and society, poor access to healthcare system.
3.Bananas Protect eyesight
Fruits like banana are important for keeping good sight. A 2004 study, published in the Archives of Ophthalmology, indicated that eating three or more servings of fruit per day may lower your risk of age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), the primary cause of vision loss in older adults, by 36 per cent, compared to persons who consume less than 1.5 servings of fruit daily.
4.Avoid Tetracycline in children.
The drug tetracycline has been known for long to cause discolouration of the teeth and this is permanent. It happens in children during the development of teeth. Doctors, consequently do not prescribe it for children in that age bracket.
5.Constipation is common in pregnancy.
Constipation is common during pregnancy due to at least two reasons:-relaxation of the muscles of the intestines by the hormones associated with pregnancy and also because of the iron supplements.
Regular exercise, fluid and fibre intake can take care of the problem, intake of about 10 cups of fluids a day is advised.
6.The elderly suffer psychological abuse.
This sort of abuse is usually by family members and close neigbours. It could be by use of abusive words, taunting, disrespect, making jest of the person, dismissal of whatever the old person says and lack of consultation before taking decisions concerning the elderly person. We all may have been guilty of this occasionally when we were younger but with hindsight, things could have been done better.
The elderly person whether educated or not is a reservoir of wisdom and we can benefit from their wise counsel.
We must respect the elderly, seek their opinion on issues which concern them, love them genuinely and talk to them regularly if we are not living together..
